Within the new DFP 2175 V/UHF Broadband Direction Finder Receiver seven (7) digital tuners work in parallel to intercept even short and weak signals. The challenge for this cutting-edge technology is the simultaneous and real-time calculation of all seven channels.
This leads to an extremely high Direction Finding (DF) accuracy due to full parallel 7-channel vector matching algorithm. Full spectrum DF calculation means, that every received energy (or signal) within the 80 MHz bandwidth will be simultaneously processed and other signal related information (SRI) are calculated. The operator / system really covers the whole electromagnetic situation on air and not only parts of it.
The DFP 2175 uses the multipath-resistant direction-finding algorithm Vector Matching (VM). The superior advantages of VM is, that the DF algorithm is using the phase and the amplitude information for calculation of the exact bearings. VM is much more robust and resistant in complex multipath propagations environments compared to other bearing calculation algorithms.
